[a bell coming from nowhere suddenly dings three times, drawing everyone's attention back to the ring. The ring announcer is back in the center, cheerfully waiting for the crowd to die down]

And now it's time . . . for the first possibly annual BAATLE SHEEP BAABES TOURNAMENT!

The rules are as follows: flocks will be battling each other to determine the ULTIMATE BAATTLE SHEEP BAABE. Winning teams will move on to the next round, until only one team is standing in the end!

But have no fear - it isn't over if luck isn't on your side in the first round! A special losers bracket will give you a second chance to prove yourselves!

NOW! [the announcer lifts his hand and slices it downwards - more fireworks go off behind him]

LET THE BAATTLES BEGIN!

IC RULES:

you're playing rock paper scissors! Each turn, you choose one of those as well as an action. Once both teams choose, the one that wins will successfully hit/guard/user their item.

Actions are:
ATTACK: what it says on the tin, does 2pts of damage
DEFEND: you use a turn to protect yourself (if they are hit the next turn, they'll only take 1pt of damage)
ITEM: use an item!

at the beginning of each battle, you'll receive two random items to help you out. Use them or don't, they'll disappear at the end of the battle!

The announcer and referee have put on an exhibition example battle over HERE

if you use an attack/defense item, then that effect will last until your next relevant turn.

So if you use the bowl o' greens and defend your next three turns, then attack on the fourth, you still do +1 pt of damage.

If you use the matcha tea, then you will fully block the next attack that hits.

health items will work instantly!

if your team is hit with a status item, then they will lose a turn.

each team's lifebar is 10 points. Teams will battle until someone's lifebar is empty.

this is a bracket tournament. Winners will advance to the next round, until only one team remains to become the ULTIMATE BAABE.

however, losing teams will be given a second chance in the losers bracket. The winner of the losers bracket can challenge the ULTIMATE BAABE for redemption!

Characters DO NOT know:

the mysterious smoke bomb is one of the available items that will be chosen by the Weeds! Weeds will not know which flock they're choosing for.

if a Baabe gets hit with a Status item, the team itself will get hit with an effect, too! However, these are completely optional. The list of effects are here, or you can spin the wheel!

MYSTERIOUS SMOKE BOMB: Who the heck let a bunch of sheep play with this? (Weed choice)

BARLEY TEA: You toss a freshly made bottle of BARLEY TEA to your sheep, who catches it out of the air with a triumphant "Baa!" They pop open the cap and take a few gulping sips before tossing the bottle away (into a nearby recycling can because we're not heathens here)

With a pleasant little chime, you can see little green sparkles suddenly surrounding your sheep - they've regained two health!

YELLOW GRASS: You toss your sheep a bundle of YELLOW GRASS. They stick out their tongue as they catch it as though they're going to eat it themselves, but then they toddle forward -

To shove it right into their opponent's mouth! Oh no!

Their opponent baas out something that we cannot translate here as this is a PG event, but suddenly little purple smoke clouds start swirling around them - they've been [EFFECT] and will be unable to fight for one turn! And watch out team, the smoke is spilling over to where you're standing, too! (SPIN THE WHEEL OR CHOOSE YOUR EFFECT)

BOWL 'O GREENS: You toss your sheep a delicious looking BOWL 'O GREENS! Your sheep catches it in one hoof, then with the other quickly stuffs their face at record speed.

They toss the bowl away and with a sparkle, they flex their lil sheep arms - whoa, their muscles just doubled in size! You've given your sheep the strength to hit harder on their next successful attack!

MATCHA TEA: You toss your sheep a refreshing bottle of MATCHA TEA! The sheep catches it in their mouth-mid air, downing the drink much quicker than it probably should. It tosses the bottle away (and into a conveniently placed recycling bin)

Your sheep gives a little "hmph!!" and crosses their arms, standing tall and steady. They look look like they won't budge! You've given them the ability to fully block the next time they are attacked!

MYSTERIOUS SMOKE BOMB: You toss your sheep a . . . wait a minute, is that a MYSTERIOUS SMOKE BOMB? Hey, who the heck let those in here—!

Before the announcer can protest this use of grossly illegal weaponry, the sheep tosses it down and it explodes, engulfing the ring in a brief, thick cloud!

When it clears, your sheep is triumphantly holding up [ITEM]! They use it and - [FLAVOR TEXT]

What marvelous baattles! What a tournament! Everyone, give those Baabes a round of applause for their amazing showing! [the lil cardboard sheep whoop and applaud]

But we've come to the end, and that means . . . we must announce our winners!

In FIRST PLACE, we have TEAM, our ULTIMATE BAATLE BAABE! Congratulations to the winners!

In SECOND PLACE, we have TEAM! Rightly earned after all their hard baattling!

And finally THIRD PLACE, we have TEAM! They came from behind to win the losers bracket, what hard work!

. . . eh? What's this? [the announcer puts his lil hoof to his ear, then:] It would seem our judges have picked a fourth winner! We had judges? Er, anyway, our JUDGES' CHOICE winner is TEAM, for [REASON]!

On behalf of the Baabes and myself, I thank you for participating in the first ever BAATLE SHEEP BAABLES tournament!

WINNERS: you get a trophy denoting what place your team came in, an outfit in their flock's style (that's spandex/tear away/whatever makes it easier to do BAATTLE in), and a bracelet that will allow them to summon their BAATTLE BAABE to help them in a future fight*.

* Baabes will perform their finisher and do a small amount of damage, comedic rules apply!

Bracelets are ONE USE ONLY and will disappear afterwards.

EVERYONE: gets memory coins and a poseable action figure of their Baattle Baabe. Check out that real karate chop action!

LOSERS: if you decide to keep your effects, you must do ONE BONDING ACTIVITY with your flock to get rid of them! What that activity is will be up to you. ♥

DAFFODIL: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

Daffodil's sheep lays out her opponent, then sprints at the ropes. With a little hop, she lands on the bottom rope - and backflips over, landing on top of her opponent with a "baa!" of triumph! That's Dakota's finishing move, the Lionsault!

She lays there with a little smug look on her face while the referee counts 1, 2, 3—!!

BLUEBELL: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

Bluebell's sheep ducks under a wild swing from their opponent and runs at the ropes, bouncing off of them and back. Their opponent scoops them up, seemingly ready to slam them into the ground - but Bella uses her momentum to swing around the hold instead, grabbing at an arm and pulling back - whoaaa, it's her finishing move, the Octopus Stretch! Her opponent is tapping—!!

ROSE: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

Rose's sheep ducks under a wild swing from their opponent and turns to get behind them, reaching up for their shoulders and pulling them into a backstabber! But wait, Rachel is flipping them over and hooking her hoofs around her opponent's face and pulling back! It's her finishing move, the Elegant Statement Look, her opponent is tapping out!!

THISTLE: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

It's a vicious back and forth between Thistle and her opponent! A harder hit has her bent over, holding her stomach as her opponent goes to bounce off the ropes, gaining momentum for a vicious clothesline - but wait, Taylor was playing possum and - ohhh, it's her finishing move, the TKO!! That's all, folks!

CLOVER: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

Clover kicks their opponent in the stomach, then in the legs, knocking them to their knees. Cameron backs up a few steps, then with a baattle cry jumps forward and to stomp their opponent's head right into the mat! It's her finishing move, the Unlucky Stomp!! And that's the end!

PEONY: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

Peony's opponent goes for one last ditch lariat, bouncing off the ropes to give it that much more power. But Peony telegraphs it and kicks their opponent in the stomach, then heaves them up onto their shoulders. With a little "baa!", Piper uses all of her strength to toss her up, then meets her on the way down with a vicious knee. Holy moly, that's her finishing move, the GTS!!

LILY: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

Lily gets the upper hand, staggering her opponent enough that she can be scooped up into a slam - but wait, Lucy adjusts her hold so that her opponent is being held up parallel to her, then falls to her knees, slamming her opponent's head right into the mat! It's her finishing move, the Tombstone!!

WEEDS: The sheep go back and forth, taking turns smacking each other until it becomes a literal slapfight!

Weeds' sheep and her opponent keep going and going and going - until the opponent makes a critical mistake, thinking they get the last hit! Willow ducks under a punch and wraps her lil sheep arm around her opponent's neck, using her other arm to help hold it there. She falls backwards, bringing her opponent with her and wrapping her legs around them to keep them there. That's her finishing move, the Cardoon Clutch!! They're tapping out!

Suddenly you find yourselves standing in a large stadium - "large", big enough for everyone to stand inside of it comfortably, anyway. Fireworks burst from the very top and the sounds of a crowd cheering surround you - and in fact, it looks like the cheering is coming from all the cardboard sheep lining the stands! They're cute and excited!

In the middle of it all is a square ring - that really just looks like this - and stood in the center is an excited little thistle sheep, dressed in a black suit and holding a microphone that seems to be hanging from nowhere]

My fine flocks, it is my honor to welcome you to the pasture's very first BAATTLE SHEEP BAABES TOURNAMENT!
